On Sojourners and Off the Page . . .

 In Uncategorized

It’s been good for my soul to get to write for the weekly “What to Celebrate and Lament” column for Off the Page during the months of February and March. It is  is am important discipline for me to sit down with the practice of lamentations; I find it much easier to celebrate. So the steady commitment has been good for my soul. Here are the pieces I’ve written thus far:

Depression

Community Art and the Flu

Needed Songs and Forgotten Parables

Teenagers and Social Media

Healing Spaces and Bill

And Sojourners published my first collaborative piece with my friend Callie Dean which spoke about the poverty of influence in our bookshelves and fasting from white-dominated media during Lent by reading and listening to things created by Women of Color. It can be found here: Women of Color Only: A Lenten Practice.
